| About Us Houston Slam Volleyball Club brings new ways to learn and play volleyball. Our focus is on developing individual skills training as well as team performance Our staff includes past Olympic and professional players, college, and USA high performance coaches, as well as indoor and semi- professional beach volleyball players. Based on their extensive experience and training, has high expectations of every player and is dedicated to bringing those expectations to fruition. The 2009 -2010 season was very productive. Our club was comprised of two teams, 14’s and 17’ s. Most of the players came to HSLV with little or no volleyball experience or skills. But after a few weeks of dedication and hard work, the confidence, skill level and game ability improved, and they began to compete against quality teams in the Lone Star region. Our goals for the 2010 -2011 season will be fine tuning & enhancing skills, increasing performance as well as recruiting and training the best young volleyball players in town. We would like to be known as the OPEN OPPORTUNITY VOLLEYBALL CLUB. The HSVC try-outs for ages 13 yrs. through 18 yrs., will be begin July17th and end Oct 17th. There will be one make up date for all ages, Oct-24th. Each local team will participate in 10 tournaments. The 18N team will participate in 8 tournaments and two qualifiers. All teams will be comprised of 10 -12 players. This year our club will have three Local teams and one 18’s National team. Houston Slam Summer Camp will offer Individual Skill Camps and All Skills Camps for Middle School, Jr. High and High School players. Specified Volleyball Conditioning Training will be available through a Certified Personal Trainer. Our practice site is: Spike Sport Facility 10914 South Gessner Dr. Parent meeting will be Sunday, November 14th at 3:00 pm The first days all team practice is on Monday November 15th Time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
